Zo levert de walnoot een indrukwekkende hoeveelheid antioxidanten waaronder vitamine E en melatonine. Verder is het een bron van biotine, foliumzuur en mineralen als mangaan en molybdeen. Het is tevens \u00e9\u00e9n van de weinige noten die ook alfa-linoleenzuur bevat en omega-3-vetten [1]. Vanwege deze voedingsstoffen wordt het eten van een handje walnoten in verband gebracht met tal van gezondheidsvoordelen. We lichten er drie voor je uit:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Hersenfunctie<\/strong><br \/>\nOnderzoek toont aan dat het eten van walnoten de hersenfunctie ondersteunt, waaronder specifiek voor jongvolwassenen [2].<\/li>\n<li><strong>Gezondheid van het hart<\/strong><br \/>\nAnder onderzoek toont aan dat het dagelijks eten van walnoten het risico op hart- en vaatziekten vermindert [3,4].
